Pissouri village is one of the most attractive, friendly villages in south-west Cyprus. It is
situated in the principal vine growing area with sultana grape vines covering the surrounding
countryside. This south-facing village, set on the hillside, commands a magnificent view of 32kms of Mediterranean coastline. To the south and east
there are panoramic views of the coast, across vineyards, olive and carob trees and to the north
one can see the majestic Troodos Mountains.
|
|
Pissouri has a unique and attractive chararcter loved by all visitors. The Cypriot character has been retained and it is still very much a working village. Visitors can find almost anything they need in the village including many fine taverna's, restaurants, bars, banks, pharmacy, doctor, dentist and mini supermarkets. Not suffering from over commercialisation you will enjoy uncrowded days
on the stunning blue flag beach and good prices in excellent Cypriot taverns. |
 |
|
Pissouri is split into the upper village and the lower bay area. Both are home to some excellent
restaurants. Either dine in the pedestrian only cobbled streets of the upper village or enjoy the food in the
seaside taverns of the bay area.
Paphos Harbour is 20 minutes drive away to the west and Limassol is 20 minutes to the east. Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley golf courses are less than 10 mins away and the Troodos mountains are a 40 minute drive away. The legendary birth place of Aphrodite ( Petra tou Romiou ) is less than 5 minutes drive away.

|
Walking, cycling, golf, fishing, watersports, scuba diving, bird watching and horse riding are just some of the activities available in Pissouri and immediate surrounding areas. Paphos is a world heritage site, is steeped in history and has some sites of archeological interest. |
